According to Bosch, three out of every 10 passenger cars sold in China in the first half of 2022 are equipped with driver assistance functions above Level 2. The strong demand of Chinese consumers for smart electric mobility is becoming a driving force for foreign companies to introduce the latest technologies to take the lead in using them in China.

Bosch introduced a series of innovative key technologies for electric smart mobility, such as silicon carbide power semiconductors, high-performance inertial measurement units, a new generation of braking system ESP10, vehicle dynamic control 2.0 and software development tool chain products and solutions. Many of these solutions have been developed by local teams, such as the on-board computing platform and zone controller for the future electrical and electronic architecture, which will soon be the first to be put into production in China; In the field of intelligent cockpit, the intelligent cockpit controller platform, built entirely by the local research and development team, has been upgraded. At the same time, Bosch is also integrating automated parking assistance functions into intelligent cockpit controllers to provide high-performance, low-cost solutions for the Chinese market. It integrates high-level intelligent driving solutions such as sensors, large computing platforms, algorithm applications and cloud services, and is specially tailored for the Chinese market, covering high-speed, elevated, urban, parking and other application scenarios. The platform is scheduled for mass production in 2023. In the field of steering systems, fully redundant steering control units for automatic driving of L4 and above passenger cars have been recognized by customers and will be mass-produced in the Chinese market in 2024.
